There are so many misconceptions about how body wraps work, so I wanted to take the time to share the truth about It Works Body Wraps. Here’s what I have learned.
The Results are Just Water Loss
I’ve heard many people say with such belief that the results are just water loss, or losing water weight.
So, here’s the truth. When you use the It Works Body Wrap our instructions are that you must drink water in order for the body wrap to work, and see results. In order to have optimal results your body, and your skin must be hydrated. You need to drink water while you’re wearing the wrap, and after you remove the wrap you must continue to drink adequate water for your results to continue to improve over the next 72 hours, and in order to maintain your results, and make them last.
A dehydrated body is an unhealthy body. Our goal is to support you with habits, and a lifestyle that’s going to serve you well.
It’s Better to Work Out While Wearing the Body Wrap
The cream that is in the It Works Body Wrap is infused with herbs and botanicals that help firm, tighten and tone loose and slackening skin, help to diminish the appearance of cellulite and stretch marks. If you work out while you’re wearing the It Works Body Wrap, that beneficial cream is going to turn into liquid with your sweat, and run right off your body. So, if you do something to make yourself sweat, you’ll have no results at all.
The right way to go about this is to work out before you wrap, then shower to cleanse your skin and open up your pores. Apply the wrap, wearing it for a minimum of 45 minutes. When you remove the wrap, massage the cream into your skin and allow it to fully absorb for a few hours before cleansing, working out, or any activity that causes you to sweat.
The Wraps Will Help Me Lose Weight
The It Works Body Wrap will not help you lose weight. The wraps are for body contouring, and improving the texture, tone, and firmness of your skin. Now, getting awesome results with the wraps may inspire you, and if you do need to lose weight, or more importantly burn body fat, my hope is that you will make wise food choices, by eating clean, consuming enough protein every day, eating plenty of low-glycemic vegetables, drinking enough water, and getting adequate sleep.

Results are Temporary, and Won’t Last
Your results with the It Works Body Wraps absolutely will last, provided you eat whole unprocessed foods, that are nutrient dense, and avoid junk foods, and overindulging on sweets, excessive carbohydrates, and unhealthy fat sources. You don’t have to be extreme. Believe me, my husband and I enjoy a pizza, burgers, ice cream and other foods! But we do it in moderation, and make sure our everyday habits support our bodies health.

I Tried a Body Wrap and Didn’t See Results
Unfortunately I hear this often. Here’s why, and the truth about this statement.
The It Works Body Wraps are packaged with 4 individual body wraps inside the box for a good reason. There are four applications, per treatment, on the area of your body you are wrapping to improve the appearance. The results you obtain with each wrap in your treatment are progressive, and get better with every application that builds upon the previous one.
They are meant to be applied every 3-7 days, waiting between applications at least 72 hours, as each wrap continues to do it’s work for 72 hours.
If someone uses one wrap, it’s like a sample. It’s just one application out of the treatment of four. It’s like going to a salon and having 1/4 of your haircut, and complaining about how it looks!
So, when you use the It Works Body Wraps you should definitely take before photos, update your photos after your first, second, third, and fourth application. Use an app like pic-coallage, or pic-monkey on your phone that will allow you to put your photos in a template, side-by-side to see your progress happen.
Sometimes a client will express they don’t see a difference. I’ll ask if they did before, and progressive photos. When this happens, 9 times out of 10 they didn’t take photos. Those who do most always see, and love their results!
